The story

Somewhere in the world, there's a dog that looks exactly like yours. Same ears. Same energy. Same inexplicable ability to steal socks. Pet Twin finds them.

The app uses AI to scan a global database of thousands of dogs and cats and return the single closest visual match to your pet — complete with a similarity score, a title (from Energy Twin at 88% to the legendary Soul Twin at 99%), and a way to reach the other owner. There is no other app that does this.

What started as a simple "what if?" has become something stranger and more interesting: a social network built entirely around the idea that two strangers on opposite sides of the world might share the exact same dog. Users match, earn points, climb leaderboards — and sometimes, when both owners are curious enough, a chat opens. Some twins have arranged playdates.

Pet Twin is built by an independent developer and available on the App Store. The core experience is free. A one-time $2.99 upgrade removes ads and unlocks additional features.
